The second Snjallræði workshop took place in Húsavík on 26–27th of September, alongside the Húsavík DesignThing. The focus was on deepening the teams’ understanding of user needs by reviewing the interviews participants had conducted after the first workshop.
This was followed by creative work exploring, designing, and defining different solution pathways – encouraging participants to imagine various possibilities without locking into one single idea too soon. The main goal was to provide the teams with tools and guidance to develop their ideas further towards products, services, or processes that can deliver real impact.
The discussions were lively, and participants found great value in reflecting their ideas with others, stepping outside their comfort zones, and receiving feedback from different perspectives. As one participant put it, their team moved “from confusion towards clarity” in just two days – an experience many others echoed.
The workshop program intertwined nicely with the DesignThing events, which offered a wide variety of experiences – from firework shows to goat sausages – and concluded with an unforgettable Mugison concert at the GeoSea Baths in Húsavík.
With this, the Snjallræði cohort has reached the halfway point of their journey – after a demanding yet highly creative weekend in North Iceland.
